Inês Santos Silva is the next guest of the City Café

On January 28, the City Café initiative returns to Porto Innovation Hub with a session dedicated to the theme “Sustainability, the new fuel of progress”, moderated by Inês Santos Silva, executive director of Aliados – The Challenges Consulting.

At the end of this month, on the 28th, at 1:30 pm, Porto Innovation Hub (PIH) will once again host the City Café initiative. It is the return of the activity started in July last year, with the aim of promoting dialogue between the teams of the Porto municipality and external specialists, with an open door to the community.

The flexible, informal and participatory format that won the interest of more than 200 participants in 2019 is, therefore, returning to PIH for the fifth edition, dedicated to the theme “Sustainability, the new fuel of progress”, in a session guided by Inês Santos Silva, executive director of Aliados – The Challenges Consulting and co-founder of Portuguese Women in Tech.

The conversation will focus on trends and projects that will make a difference in sustainability in 2020, in addition to the role that cities can play in driving this sustainability.

Inês Santos Silva is Managing Partner of Aliados Consulting, an innovation consultant focused on defining and implementing solutions for the main economic challenges, from the impact of technological entrepreneurship to sustainability and circular economy.

In parallel, City Café’s next guest is also a co-founder of Portuguese Women in Tech, a community focused on attracting more women to the technology sector.

As in previous editions, City Café has free admission, upon prior registration at the event.

February and March sessions already have a defined theme

The next City Café sessions – February and March – already have the themes defined. So, next month, the initiative will focus on the importance of the “agile mindset” concept and the need to rethink working methods. In March, there will be a work session to boost and enhance communication and team management in a creative way.
